Link Necromancer ("the App") is a Reddit Developer Platform (Devvit) app. This policy explains what data the App accesses, stores, and shares with third parties.
Through Reddit's Devvit platform APIs, the App reads publicly visible content in
the subreddits where it is installed: post and comment text, post links, comment
scores, and thing IDs (e.g. t3_…, t1_…). It
does not access private messages, non-public profile data, or any information
beyond what Reddit already exposes to an installed, moderator-approved app.
The App stores the following in its own Redis instance, scoped to each installing subreddit:
This data is not shared across different subreddit installations and is not sold or provided to any third party for advertising or analytics purposes.
To determine whether a URL is dead and find an archived copy, the App sends the URL text (and nothing else) to:
Neither service receives any Reddit account information, message content beyond the single URL being checked, or any other personal data.
The App runs server-side on Reddit's infrastructure and displays a live activity dashboard as a Reddit post. It does not set cookies, run analytics, or track users across sites.
Stored logs and dedupe records are capped; once a cap is reached, the oldest entries are automatically dropped as new ones are added.
Reply STOP to any comment the App has posted to opt out of future
replies to your content. Subreddit moderators can uninstall the App at any time,
which stops all data collection for that subreddit going forward.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them beyond what Reddit's platform itself governs under its own policies.
